Cabernet Franc
Cabernet Franc is a red grape variety that thrives in the Bordeaux and Loire regions. With a medium colour, it generally develops fine tannins and subtle aromas of red fruits and spices. This grape variety produces wines that can be enjoyed both young and after a long period of ageing.
Tasting notes
- Colour: An elegant ruby red.
- Nose: Fruity and fresh, the nose blends aromas of red and black fruits.
- Palate: Delicate and greedy, the mouth is not very tannic but well structured. It is distinguished by a pleasant freshness and notes of red fruit.
We advise you to serve this wine fairly chilled at 13°C if you wish to drink it young. Otherwise, it can be kept in the cellar for 5 years after bottling.
For a successful food and wine pairing, we suggest you accompany Mozaik with red meats and meats of character such as lamb or even dishes in sauce.
Vinification
Mozaïk rouge is a blend of different plots on schist and limestone, hence its name. A 100% Cabernet wine vinified gently, with relatively short macerations to preserve the fruitiness and not to extract the tannins. The wine is matured in barrels that have had several wines.
